executive council

Heiligengrabe, Kloster Stift zum Heiligengrabe, Heiliggrabkapelle by Marcus Cyron , licensed under CC0 1.0

The GSA Executive Council consists of the President, the Vice President, the immediate past President, the Secretary, the Treasurer, the Executive Director, and the Editor of the German Studies Review. The President, Vice President, and Immediate Past President each serve for two years. The Executive Director traditionally hosts the annual meeting of the group, usually held in the winter. The President establishes the agenda, in consultation with the other members of the Executive Council, and presides over its meetings. The meetings focus both on general policy issues and specific administrative details concerning the GSA. The Secretary communicates the results of these meetings to the GSA Board. For details, see the GSA By-Laws, section IV.
