Call for Seminar Auditors - GSA 2025

The 2025 GSA Conference, taking place in Arlington, Virginia from September 25–28, will again feature a series of three-day seminars. As in past years, a limited number of auditors are welcome to join select seminar sessions.
Auditors may attend seminar meetings as observers but are not formal participants. They may also hold other roles at the conference, such as paper presenters or moderators. Specific guidelines for auditors will be determined by each seminar’s conveners. Not all seminars are accepting auditors; the list below includes only those seminars that are accepting auditors.
If you are interested in auditing a seminar, please contact the conveners directly using the following direct links to the original list of seminars:
  • Adaptation Studies – Theory, Practice, and Pedagogy
  • Apocalypse: Endings and Beginnings in German Culture
  • Building a Lexicon of Philosophical Concepts for Goethe and Beyond (sponsored by the Goethe Lexicon of Philosophical Concepts)
  • Contested Legacies: Competing Memory Narratives on the GDR Today
  • Leben & Lebensphilosophie: A New Look
  • Literaturgeschichte intersektional weiterschreiben
  • Science Fiction in the German Classroom (Environmental Studies Network)
  • Swiss Literature in a Transnational Context (Swiss Studies Network)
  • The 2025 Bundestag Election and Its Consequences
  • The Simultaneity of the Non-Simultaneous: A Historical Concept
  • Wandering Artefacts: Dispersion, Digitization and Multilingualism of German-Jewish Archives

We look forward to your participation in this year’s vibrant seminar program!
