The mentoring committee will offer 1:1 mentoring sessions again at this year’s GSA Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. These sessions are for mentoring at all career stages. Possible topics include: the job market (academic jobs and careers alongside and beyond academia), early career concerns, mid-career concerns, publishing, transitioning from a faculty to an administrative role, interpersonal conflicts. Mentors and mentees may use the following forms to sign up for 30-minute time slots. Sessions will be in-person (at the conference) or on Zoom.

We are happy to announce that the registration portal is now open for our 50th annual conference in Phoenix, AZ, taking place from 24 to 27 September 2026.

The German Studies Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tanvi Solanki as the fifth Editor of German Studies Review, the Association's flagship interdisciplinary journal. Dr. Solanki will succeed Dr. Katharina Gerstenberger, whose distinguished tenure as editor concluded on May 31, 2026.

The German Studies Review seeks a graduate assistant for the two Book Review Editors (literature and culture; history and art) with a start date of October 1, 2026.
