2026 GSA Annual Conference Registration Now Open!

We are happy to announce that the registration portal is now open for our 50th annual conference in Phoenix, AZ, taking place from 24 to 27 September 2026.

GSA Announces New GSR Editor

The German Studies Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Tanvi Solanki as the fifth Editor of German Studies Review, the Association's flagship interdisciplinary journal. Dr. Solanki will succeed Dr. Katharina Gerstenberger, whose distinguished tenure as editor concluded on May 31, 2026.

CfA: Graduate Assistant, German Studies Review (GSR)

The German Studies Review seeks a graduate assistant for the two Book Review Editors (literature and culture; history and art) with a start date of October 1, 2026.

Call for Seminar Proposals GSA 2026

The 50th German Studies Association Conference, to be held in Phoenix, Arizona from September 24–27, 2026 will continue to host a series of seminars in addition to regular panel sessions and roundtables (general conference information is available here). Seminars meet for three sessions, that is, one session on each day of the conference (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). They explore new avenues of academic exchange and foster extended discussion, rigorous intellectual debate, and intensified networking.
